Park with purpose. If you’re a Mizzou faculty or staff member working on campus — full-time, part-time or temporary — you’re eligible for a campus parking permit.
Parking permits, which are sold on a first come, first served basis, are assigned to a specific location to help manage space. Your permit only allows you to park in that location and not in other lots or garages in the same tier.
Check out our maps to see parking locations and tiers.

Quick Guide to Parking
- Permits are assigned by availability, on a first-come, first-served basis.
- Permits renew annually, each January.
- Paid via payroll deduction (covers the previous pay period).
Note: Parking structure access doesn’t guarantee a covered spot.
Faculty and staff can purchase a monthly pay-per-scan permit, which are sold first come, first served based on availability. It’s a great option if you’re not on campus every day but still want consistent access.
You pick one of three locations — RC9, CG1 or Conley Avenue Parking Structure — and get 10 scans per month. Each time your license plate is scanned, one use is counted for the day. Unused scans expire on the last day of each month in which the pay-per-scans were purchased.
- RC9: 10 scans/month for $15
- CG1: 10 scans/month for $15
- Conley Avenue Parking Structure: 10 scans/month for $30
Pay-per-scan permits aren’t unlimited. A set number will be available each month and are sold starting seven days before the next month begins.

FAQs
They are assigned a parking space based on their preferred available location upon hiring.
No. Your license plate is your permit. This system helps us keep costs lower by eliminating physical tags.
Yes, if you plan to park on campus.
Permits renew automatically each January and are paid monthly via payroll deduction. Retiring? Be sure to cancel your permit.
Follow the steps in the “Canceling a Permit” section above.
Note: Removing a vehicle from your account does not cancel your permit.
Up to three but only one can be on campus at a time. Bringing more than one at once? That’ll result in a citation.
Missouri requires most vehicles registered in the state to have front and rear plates. Mizzou enforces this. For vehicles registered from other states, please abide by your state’s rules and regulations.
Please remember: Park your vehicle where the plates are visible from the drive aisle to avoid a citation.
Options include pay-per-scan, meter/kiosk parking or dual permits. Those with permits, however, cannot enroll in the pay-per-scan option.
If your job takes you between multiple spots across campus, you might qualify for a dual permit, which is an extra permission that lets you park in more than one area. It costs an additional $10 per month more than that highest parking tier rate in which you want to park. Permits are assigned based on space availability.
Parking rates are tiered based on demand. Lots and structures in higher-demand areas cost more, while lower-demand areas are more budget-friendly. This gives faculty, staff and students the flexibility to choose what works best for them — balancing location, cost and availability. Spots are assigned on a first-come, first-served basis, with faculty and staff getting first priority, followed by students.
Permit fees go right back into keeping our parking system running. That includes maintenance, upgrades and paying off construction bonds for lots and garages. Mizzou Parking & Transportation is self-sustaining — meaning we don’t get university funding — so every dollar collected from permits supports operations and future improvements.
